Myth Creation Analysis
I think the main difference between creating a myth and studying a myth is the amount of creativity and fun. I think creating a myth allows for more fun and freedom because you are not restrained by histories, ideologies, and cultural beliefs, but I think at the same time you have the ability to use those factors to create your myth. I think creating a myth enhances the study of myth because it allows for critical thinking. You have to think about history, ideology, and cultural beliefs that you want to incorporate and they don’t necessarily have to exist in a real-world context. I think creating a myth allows for fun and freedom, while allowing us to create our own histories, ideologies, and beliefs enhances our study of myth as it enhances our own critical thinking. I think I learned how fun it is to create something without many constraints.
